House Clearance in Coventry
We clear houses, flats and other properties across Coventry for homeowners, families, executors, landlords and businesses. Tell us what needs to leave and we will quote for that work — not a package you do not need.
On this first contact
- Say which rooms or outbuildings are included.
- Mention stairs, parking and who can provide access.
- Ask if documents, photographs or valuables need setting aside.
Serving Coventry and nearby Warwickshire towns. No invented ratings or “number one” claims — the work is quoted on the property in front of us.

How our clearance service works
The sequence is the same whether the job is a few rooms or a whole house. Nothing below promises same-day quotes or availability — those depend on the enquiry and the diary.
-
01
Tell us about the property
Postcode, property type, which rooms are included, and anything that affects access.
-
02
Arrange an assessment
We use your description, photographs if you have them, and a visit where the job needs one.
-
03
Agree the clearance
The quotation covers the rooms and items you have asked us to remove, and what will stay.
-
04
The property is cleared
On the agreed date we empty the spaces that form part of the job and leave the rest alone.
-
05
Items are sorted
Suitable contents go for reuse, resale, donation or recycling. Disposal is the last option.
Probate and bereavement
A property left after a death is not an ordinary house clearance. Documents, photographs, jewellery and objects with family meaning need to be found and set aside. Executors and solicitors also need a clear account of what was removed.
We can work with the family, the executor, or the solicitor instructing on their behalf. The pace can be a whole-house empty once decisions are made, or a slower job that leaves rooms untouched until someone has been through them.
Read probate house clearance, bereavement house clearance, and how valuations differ from a clearance quote.
If you are an executor
Before instructing a clearance, check with the estate’s solicitor if you are unsure whether work can begin, who may authorise it, or whether contents need recording first.

Disposal is not the first instruction
Wherever practical, suitable items are reused, resold, donated or recycled. We do not publish invented recovery percentages, and we do not name charity or recycling partners that have not been confirmed. The order we work to is below. The recycling and reuse page explains how that applies to furniture, appliances and general household contents.

Items we can usually clear
Most household contents can be included once they form part of the agreed job. Hazardous waste is not assumed to be part of a standard clearance.
- Furniture, sofas, beds, tables and wardrobes
- Household appliances
- Clothing, books and boxed possessions
- Kitchen and general household contents
- Garage, loft and shed stores
- Garden furniture and outdoor items
Furniture-only jobs and garage, loft and shed clearances are quoted separately when that is all you need.
Coventry coverage
The main service area is Coventry. We have written separately about districts where the housing and access are distinctive enough to need their own page. Other parts of the city, and nearby towns, are listed on the areas page.
District pages
- Earlsdon Victorian and Edwardian streets, terraces and larger houses south-west of the centre.
- Allesley Historic village core on the western edge, plus later suburban housing and gardens.
- Tile Hill Western suburb with post-war houses and flats, the railway station and later private estates.
- Finham Southern suburban streets of later-twentieth-century family houses, bungalows and larger plots.
- Cheylesmore Interwar semis and local streets just south of the city centre, toward Whitley.
- Binley Eastern Coventry: a small older village core and mainly later suburban housing.
- Coundon North-west streets of older housing and interwar estates between the centre and Allesley.
- Foleshill Northern corridor of denser terraces, flats and mixed streets along Foleshill Road.
Why people use this service
The useful reasons are practical ones: a clearly scoped quotation, a process that can slow down for probate and bereavement work, and an approach that does not treat every sofa as rubbish.
We do not claim to be Coventry’s leading or best-known clearance company. Those statements would need independent proof. What you can check on this website is how the work is done, where we operate, and how to ask for a quote.
Questions
Before you request a quote
How is a house clearance quotation worked out?
The quotation usually depends on the volume of contents, the size of the property, how easily the rooms can be reached, stairs, parking and loading space, and whether items can be reused, donated, recycled or need disposal. Photographs and a clear description of the rooms involved help us quote more accurately.
Do I need to be at the property during the clearance?
Not always. Someone with authority to instruct the work needs to agree the scope and access. After that, a key-holder, executor, agent or neighbour can often provide entry if you cannot be present.
What happens to furniture and other reusable items?
Where items are in a suitable condition they are set aside for reuse, resale or donation. Materials that cannot be reused are recycled where practical. Disposal is used when the other options are not suitable.
Can you clear flats, garages and lofts as well as houses?
Yes. The same process applies to flats, bungalows, garages, lofts, sheds and some commercial rooms. Access details matter more in flats and older terraces, so please mention stairs, lifts and parking when you get in touch.
How long does a clearance take?
That depends on the amount to be removed and how the property is laid out. A single garage or a few rooms is a different job from a whole house that has been occupied for decades. We will give a clearer indication once we understand the contents and access.
